PLANT-WIDE SOLUTION FOR GAS DETECTION AND MONITORING PROBLEMS |

        |

        - Continuously monitors from 16 to 512 toxic and combustible gas detection points

        - Fully automatic alarm action with up to 512 remote and 32 local alarm functions

        - Automatically documents alarms, calibrations, and all other events in the system

        -
		Simple noninvasive one-person calibration

        - Rewire alarms and sensors electronically right on the computer screen.

    Easy to use and configure
Softwire system allows reconfiguration of alarms and sensors instantly on the
computer screen instead of expensive, time consuming tracing, pulling and hard-wiring
      alarms or sensors.

    Simple system operation
Sage continuously evaluates the status of all sensors to determine if preset
      alarm conditions exist.
Sensors feed analog signals through shielded cable to a nearby sensor satellite, which
      converts them to digital signals.
Every event is recorded and prints immediately, complete with time/date stamp.

    Accurate, Durable
	Sensors

    Flexible Sensor
	Satellite
Attach up to 32 sensor satellites to the data highway. Any sensor can be tied to any relay
      on the system.

    Flexible Relay Satellite
Attach up to 32 relay satellites, each capable of handling up to 16 dry-contact
117V SPDT relays, including alarm lights, horns, fire suppression systems, valves, gas
dispersion fans, water deluge or other apparatus.

    Comprehensive Monitoring and Reporting
Monitors and records: all sensor alarms, all sensor indications (service, OK), alarm
relays, adjusted setpoints, sensor events (online, offline calibrations), Satellite
events, data highway events, printer events, system events.

Reliable Low-Maintenance, Low-Cost Data Highway Network
Fully automatic network operation - no programming required. Replaces miles of
explosion-proof conduit, utilizing just EFI/RFI immune twisted-pair wiring between relays
      and the central control computer.

    THE MOST ACCURATE SENSOR-CALIBRATING
    METHOD IS ALSO THE
	SIMPLEST AND LEAST COSTLY
Field technicians need only a tank of gas and a walkie talkie to perform sensor
    calibrations.
The SAGE Series III has a short calibration time, and one-person reliable, automatic,

SAGE SERIES III CALIBRATION
OVERVIEW
To reduce the per point cost of one-person calibration and enhance the
calibration process, a new system for calibration called "SageCAL" has been
developed and a patent applied for. This system eliminates any need for adjustments or for
carrying additional calibration equipment. Declassification of the area is not required.
Communication to SAGE is via the calibrators portable radio. SAGE monitors the UHF
channel for any activity to be sure that it doesnt key-up and transmit when the
channel is busy. When clear space is confirmed, SAGE transmits a human voice message (in
English or any other language) to the portable radio. This real voice message confirms
your request to calibrate that specific sensor point and steps you through the calibration
process. If you make a mistake or wish to discontinue the calibration procedure, you can
do so by entering a cancel code. This process does not require any operator action at the
SAGE Console. All data and status are logged into the
calibration history log and are available on demand both visually on the system display
and in hard copy from the system printer. A two digit code helps protect
against unauthorized calibrations.
